Friday’s, on AMFT, are usually reserved for suppers that take 15 minutes or less. Today we are sharing general recipes that are 15 minutes or less. I love having a bunch of quick recipe ideas in my recipe box for quick snacks, drop in company, or just cuz I’m in the mood to make something tasty! Even though smoothies aren’t typically supper fare, I do have them on occasion when I’ve had a big breakfast or lunch and need something a little lighter for supper. I think y’all will love this layered strawberry banana smoothie for supper.
It’s full of tons of fruit and topped off with a nice serving of granola. It really feels like a meal and is filling too! I just love this smoothie and it’s naturally gluten free (double check your granola though), dairy free, and sugar free. Plus..it’s just so darn pretty who wouldn’t want to drink it?!?!?

Layered Strawberry Banana Smoothies
These layered strawberry banana smoothies are as pretty as they are delicious! With layers of banana smoothie and strawberry smoothie, they're topped with crunchy granola.

- 3 strawberries (leave tops on for extra nutrients)
- 2 dates, pitted

Top Layer:
- 2 bananas, peeled

Instructions
- To prepare bottom layer, combine all the bottom layer ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a large glass or mason jar.

I definitely love your layered strawberry banana smoothie. It would be perfect breakfast! I found your post from Pinterest! I’m also gonna pin this post on my Pinterest board my followers will love it. Thanks for sharing Wendy!

Simon
This looks so delicious and the best part is – its good for you.
The amount of potassium in bananas also makes it a good fruit that can help to decrease kidney stone. Strawberries promote good eyesight and decrease symptoms of arthritis. Thanks for your great share.
Sounds delicious, but I’m allergic to pineapple. Can I just leave it out, or should I sub with something else? Love the granola on top. Yum! Yum!
Hi Ashley! Just add more banana or another tropical fruit!!! The granola on top is amazing
Love this Wendy! I like the idea of a smoothie for dinner on heavy lunch days. Like when I blog a casserole in the afternoon and eat half of it by 3pm…yeah. Love that overhead shot! Pinned!
A friend just gave me 2 large bags of strawberries. This will be a perfect way to use them in a healthy recipe. Thanks
Seems so simple to layer it but I would have never thought to do that! And I LOVE the granola sprinkling on top 🙂 so yummy!!
Sounds good to me! I love strawberry smoothies.
I love smoothies but seldom take the time to make them. I have an immersion blender so it should be super easy, especially with recipes like this that look so good! Yet… I never do. 🙁
This smoothie looks scrumptious and filling!
Looks too pretty to eat, brilliant breakfast idea, thanks for sharing Wendy!
Yum! This looks so good! I wish we had some strawberries so i could make this for breakfast
That looks good. I don’t like bananas, so I’d probably make it more pineapple intense and just use the banana for texture.
Wow, this looks delicious! Never thought of putting granola on the top.
Oh yum, I could absolutely slurp that up with joy aplenty!
I love strawberries and bananas together. I bet this is really yummy. 🙂
I’ve recently got into making smoothies as part of my move to eat healthier this year. This one looks awesome! Definitely going to have to try it out soon.
My husband makes a shake daily–he would love this recipe. He doesn’t like coconuts though, so would probably substitute that.
Sounds yummy and has all my favorite ingredients in it! Will definitely give this one a try! Thanks! 🙂
That sounds good right now, I am going to go make one!
Ok. I’m dumb. I don’t know what coconut water is or where to get it (or do you make it??). Is it what is poured out of a fresh coconut when you open it? If so and you don’t have fresh coconuts at your grocery store, what do you use? Sorry. Didn’t mean to be a pain, but this sounds really good. 🙂
Not a dumb question…Here is a link to the brand I use on Amazon. But I find it at my local grocery store or Whole Foods…Walmart might even carry it. http://amzn.to/1eIoxgO
I love strawberries & bananas together!
Gosh that looks great. Dinner is already prepped but I am thinking this is a must-have for breakfast tomorow!
I love smoothies and this one sounds perfect! YUM!!
I love getting a different taste in each bite. This looks amazing, I would love to make it.
I agree – it is just too beautiful not to eat! I could eat smoothies (or I suppose drink them…) every single day.
This looks delish, love that it has pineapple in it!
I could totally go for a smoothie like this one! Oh my goodness; YUM! I love strawberry Smoothies.
Your smoothie looks delicious! We drink smoothies almost on a daily basis. I have never added granola to one though!
This looks like THE perfect morning breakfast for me! I cannot wait to try this on Monday.
