I absolutely love my air fryer. Okay…at first I hated it, but I’ve come to love it. And one of my family’s favorite air fryer recipes is salmon. It cooks up so perfectly. The best part is that it’s fast and doesn’t heat up my kitchen.
Is Air Fried Salmon Healthy?
Absolutely! Using an air fryer to cook salmon means that less oil is used during the preparation and cooking process, which in turn gives the fish less fat and calories.
Is salmon good for keto diet?
Salmon is good for a keto diet. A 4 ounce salmon fillet has approximately 180 calories, 0 carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, and 10 grams of fat. Salmon is also a great option for anyone on a low carb, diabetic, carnivore, or gluten free diet. It’s extremely versatile.

Air fryer salmon fillets are so delicious and very easy. Just season with my rub or with your favorite seafood rub. Place the fillets skin down and cook for 10-12 minutes at 380 F or until the thickest part is 145 F. Salmon should easily flake when pierced with a fork.

How To Air Fryer Salmon In The Oven
If you’ve stumbled upon this recipe, but don’t own an air fryer you can totally cook this keto salmon in the oven. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment. Place salmon fillets on the parchment. Bake in a preheated 450F oven for 12-15 minutes or until the thickest part is 145 F. Salmon should easily flake when pierced with a fork.

Air Fryer Spiced Salmon

Ingredients
- 1 lb salmon ( cut into appx 4 - 4 oz fillets)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried herbs
- 1/3 tsp coarse salt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 carrots
- 1 zucchini
- 2 tbsp olive oil, divided
- fresh herbs or lemon for serving
Instructions
Wash the salmon pieces and pat dry, do not remove the skin. Put in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil (1 tbsp), lemon juice, sprinkle with salt and spices. Spread evenly over salmon pieces and let sit for 10 minutes.
Wash and clean carrots and zucchini. Grate to get long thin strips similar to spaghetti.
Add 1 tbsp olive oil, two pinches of dried herbs and two pinches of salt. Stir.
Place the salmon pieces in the air fryer basket. For convenience, line the air fryer basket with parchment paper. Cook on the salmon at 380 F for 10-12 minutes. Check for doneness using a fork. Salmon should flake easily, and the internal temperature in the thickest part of the salmon should be 145 degrees F.
While the salmon cooks, transfer the zucchini & carrots to a large, hot skillet and sauté over medium heat for 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are tender. They may remain half cooked - this is normal.
Serve the salmon hot by placing it on top of the zoodles, or place the zoodles on the side. Add fresh herbs and any sauces or a squeeze of fresh lemon.
