How to Make the Best Fudge Recipe Ever
Y’all know I’m a sucker for a good fudge recipe. {If you didn’t know…check out all my gourmet fudge recipes.} This chocolate fudge recipe is my family’s favorite. It’s just a simple classic fudge recipe with no bells and whistles. Just delicious creamy chocolate goodness. And my family has started calling this the best fudge recipe in the world.
Some of other favorite fudge flavors are brazil nut fudge, easy peanut butter chocolate fudge, and I love making fudge without sweetened condensed milk.
I actually don’t pour this fudge into a pan…I just pour it straight onto a piece of parchment. It looks fancy this way and like it came straight from a fudge shop, don’t ya think. The best part is you can make this for less than the little square that you get when you buy a 1/4 lb from a fudge shop.
Because this is a simple chocolate fudge, the chocolate is key! Use the best chocolate chips you afford. It really makes all the difference. This is the not the fudge recipe to buy cheap or generic chocolate chips. Trust me on this one…you’ll thank me later!
Fudge FAQ
Can Fudge be Refrigerated?
Absolutely. In fact fudge will last longer when stored in the fridge. It can last 2 weeks in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Just let it come up to room temperature before serving.
But can Fudge go in the Freezer?
YES!!! The best way to store fudge in the freezer and get the best results is to wrap fudge with plastic wrap, then put in a freezer bag or container. The goal is to keep ice crystals from forming. Freezing fudge is a great time saver when planning for a party, dessert tray, or holidays and want to start cooking ahead. So go ahead and make an extra batch and freeze it for later.
