Hubbyman loves meat. He loves to spend a Saturday smoking or slow cooking a good brisket or rack of ribs or assortment of meats. He is actually quite good at it and I don’t mind having a day off from the kitchen.
While we were in Texas visiting my Granny, she shared her top secret recipe for her brisket and coleslaw. Unfortunately, we have been sworn to secrecy, so I will not be sharing those recipes with you; however, I thought I would share a unique way to serve this meal.
We started visiting a local restaurant that prides itself as being a N.Y. Style Delicatessen. We had their brisket sliders a few times and figured we could make them at home, since we make brisket once a month. Even though, making all these things seem a bit labor intensive, it is totally worth it.
My Granny’s brisket and coleslaw were so tasty and some of the best we’ve ever had. I wish I could share the recipes with you, but some things must be kept in the family. However, use your favorite brisket and coleslaw recipes and I’m sure this dish will be just as great for you!
Brisket Sammies
-potato or whole wheat buns (or slider buns if you can find them)
-thinnly sliced BBQ brisket
-potato pancakes
-coleslaw
Pile everything up on the bun and enjoy!

Gee I thought you liked your dad's brisket. Guess I was wrong. And by the way, I have Mother's recipes and have not been sworn to secrecy, so I can share!
