These 2 Easy Lunch Box Ideas are perfect for picky kids and busy mornings plus they are fun and healthy too. I’ve partnered with Tyson to create these fun lunch box ideas using their grilled chicken strips.
Chicken may not be the first thing you think of when you hear “back to school,” but these ideas might change your mind. Kids need plenty of yummy and healthy food fueling their little minds. It’s no surprise that parents are usually super busy and short on time. They are buying a ton of pencils and extra boxes of tissues so meal ideas can become an afterthought. After grabbing school supplies at Walmart I saw these chicken breast strips. Now I will totally admit that I bought these Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips with the intention of making a skillet meal. I have used them in the past with pasta and sauce. Totally a delicious and easy weeknight meal and older kids could probably make it with minimal parental supervision. Easy and done, right?
However, I was trying to think outside the lunch box so to speak and think beyond PB & J. I had a little bit of a lightbulb moment: why not take some of the chicken breast strips and make a totally fun and easy lunch box? Tyson® Grilled and Ready® chicken is fully cooked and made with all-white meat. They are 100% all-natural and 97% fat free so I feel good about serving it to my kids.
I think they turned out way more exciting than sandwiches. What do you think?
They best part is that you can actually help your child’s school buy purchasing Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips. They are part of the Tyson Project A+™ program–you just clip and redeem the labels from packages of Tyson® products. For every label they receive, they give your school 24¢. Your school can use the money for whatever it needs: art supplies, athletic equipment, band instruments, clubs, and activities just to name a few. Learn more about the project by going to their website.
