Homegating Party Ideas
We love going to football games to cheer on our team, whether it’s the local high school that my daughter attends or our alma mater university. But more often, we tune in to catch an NFL game on the big screen at home. We rarely miss a game because we have an on-going friendly rivalry with long-distance buddies to see whose team will triumph. It can get pretty competitive, but it’s always in good fun.
When it is just my family watching the game at home, I plan snacks ahead of time to make it more enjoyable and to prevent the free-for-all, neverending raid of the kitchen cabinets that inevitably ends in missing part of the game. By planning and taking the time to prepare ahead of time, I’m able to enjoy the game with my family when they are all gathered together in the living room. Sandwiches, chicken wings, and chips and dips are some of our favorite go-tos.
If you are searching for recipes to serve to your guests on game day, these homegating party food ideas are definite crowd pleasers. The problem is trying to decide which ones to make! Make sure that you and your squad don’t run out before the clock does.

Which ever recipes you decide to make, it’s sure to get messy. A good cleaning before any party will make after-party clean up easier. And always keep a roll of Bounty hanging for the grill for quick clean ups while cooking!

So many options.. yumm. The Chile con queso sounds so good. And the hanger for a paper towel is just genious. ThanKS for the idea. Even perfect for camping

In case the word hasn’t made it to Arizona yet, I’m the home gating queen of Appleton, Wisconsin. WHY have I not thought of the coat hanger idea for paper towels before???
Oh wait. I know why. Because YOU are the genius in our friendship. <3
