You don’t have to give up Chinese food just because you’re on a low carb or keto diet! My Keto Air Fryer Mongolian Beef tastes just as good as take out with less calories and carbs than traditional Mongolian Beef.
Keto Air Fryer Mongolian Beef
Mongolian Beef used to be my go-to meal any time we ordered Chinese take out (or when we ate out at a Chinese food place). I’m not sure it’s even a real Chinese food dish, but I love it. So I had to come up with a way I could still have it in a way that fits into my keto diet. And I think I’ve got it!
Just a few simple swaps from my traditional PF Chang’s Copy Cat Mongolian Beef recipe and I have this amazing air fryer version with only 4 net carbs per serving.
Ingredients for this recipe:
- flank or sirloin steak
- fresh green beans
- olive oil
- sesame oil
- ginger paste
- minced garlic
- soy sauce
- water
- brown sugar substitute (I like this one)
- green onions
- Salt and pepper
How to Make Easy Keto Mongolian Beef in the Air Fryer
This truly is an easy keto Mongolian beef recipe. It’s ready in under 30 minutes too.
Preheat the air fryer to 400F degrees. Toss steak and green beans in olive & sesame oils.
Place into the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through the cook time.
Heat sauce ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat until thickened.
Toss cooked steak and green beans in the sauce and garnish with green onions.
Is Mongolian Beef Keto Friendly?
You’ve probably wondered if you can eat mongolian beef on a keto diet. Well….not at any restaurant unfortunately. However, this recipe is all you need for a delicious keto Chinese meal at home. It’s so easy and delicious. I bet you can have it on the table before you could even go get take it and bring it home.
Options to Make it Your Own
Don’t like green beans? Here are some ideas to make it your own:

My Favorite Air Fryer
I’ve tried a couple different types and brands of air fryers and I’ve decided I prefer a basket type style. I actually hated all air fryers for the first year or so that I owned one…I just didn’t know what I was doing. However, I use it probably 4 days a week now for lunches and dinners and reheating leftovers. It’s amazing. I have this one (well, technically I have the older model but it doesn’t seem to be available anymore).
No matter what kind you have just keep using it and trying new things until you feel comfortable with it.
