Hi all! It’s me, Rachel, from {i love} my disorganized life. Can you believe my time here at AMFT is up? It has gone by so quickly, but I sure have had a lot of fun with you! Speaking of time passing, I am seriously having an issue with it being November already. I just can’t seem to wrap my head around it.
Since this time of year means lots of gatherings with friends and family, I want to share a very simple, yet delicious, side dish with you. It honestly takes just about 15 min to make, so you can whip it up in a hurry for those last minute extra dinner guests.
Can I be honest with you? Until I made this recipe, I had never had brussels sprouts before. A friend told me that they taste like little cabbages, and you know what? She was right! I ate more than my fair share of them at dinner. They were wonderful!
Let’s get to the recipe.
Here’s all you need:
-
1 lb brussels sprouts, cleaned and trimmed
-
4 slices of bacon, cut into small pieces
-
2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice {about one lemon}
-
2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
Here’s all you do:
-
Cook brussels sprouts in a steamer basket over a pan of 1-inch boiling water until tender, about 5 minutes
-
Meanwhile, cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp
-
Add brussels sprouts, lemon juice & black pepper to bacon and toss until coated
-
Serve and enjoy!
Thanks so much for spending this time with me, and I hope you’ll stop by and see me at my blog {i love} my disorganized life. I’ve got some great treats waiting for you, like my Easy Homemade Fudge and Gold Glitter Dipped Peanut Butter Oreos. Not to mention a fabulous Homemade Kahlua!
Just in case I don’t see you before then, have a safe Holiday and a Very Happy New Year’s!

Thanks Rachael, I’m going to try this for Christmas. My grandson likes brussel sprouts and I don’t know how to cook them. They are unfamiliar to me.
