Last month, my girlfriends and I booked a long weekend for a working retreat at The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch. It was relaxing and fun and gorgeous and absolutely perfect. The Scottsdale Resort is located in South Scottsdale and has pretty easy access to other restaurants, freeways, activities, and more. It’s perfectly located in the heart of Scottsdale which makes the perfect resort for getting to and from local attractions.

I love visiting AZ resorts and lodges for quick little getaways…one of my other favs is the Garland’s Sedona Restaurant & Lodge.

The room I stayed in was huge! The resort is older, but it’s kept up nicely with updated bedding and a plush pillowtop mattress. My room had a beautiful view of the golf course and had a huge window with window sitting area.

I could have sat there all day long with a cup of coffee and my computer and just relaxed. But we had some amazing things planned for our stay….

We spent one afternoon relaxing by the pool, with lunch at the Twisted Vine, delicious drinks, a private cabana. The pool was quiet and refreshing and the cabana provided a private place for us to talk and stay out of the sun.

After an intense afternoon of learning {and hanging by the pool} we cleaned up for an amazing dinner at the resort’s Kitchen West restaurant.

They hooked us up for dinner and we had such an amazing spread, but the Steak Frites with Chimichurri was by far my favorite thing I ate all night! It’s worth a trip just for this meal!

And drinks at sundown overlooking the beautiful golf course was so relaxing.

The Scottsdale Resort is known for their amazing dining at Kitchen West, their spacious rooms with amazing views of the impeccable golf course or sparkling pool, and the relaxing Luna Spa. If you are looking for a fantastic wedding or meeting space then you have to check out their packages.

Having this girl’s weekend was just what we all needed to unplug, unwind, and recharge our batteries.
